Drawing made with cofee and collage with headlines from newspapers and newsprint over paper
Size
100 x 70 cm (each)

Organic drawings are made with coffee on paper. Then, geometric shapes made of blank newspaper are glued onto the surface. In the areas where these shapes overlap the initial drawings, headlines are applied to continue the design.
••
Here, the everyday ritual of reading the newspaper while drinking coffee is evoked, as well as the idea of interpreting destiny in the stains left by the beverage. Each work uses a single edition of newspapers from different parts of the world, with the place of origin, date, and publication indicated in the title.
