The work presents a retrospective of 2025 through headlines from the newspaper Folha de S.Paulo. Approximately 70 headlines from each month were selected, cut out, and arranged and pasted in chronological order, preserving their legibility so that events unfold one after another. January’s headlines appear at the top, followed by those from February, March, and so on, down to the base, where December’s headlines are gathered.

Its shape is determined by events that marked Brazil during this period. In 2025, a contradiction between resource extraction and environmental preservation became apparent. While the country hosted COP30 in Belém, licenses were being granted for oil exploration in the Amazon Mouth Basin. The work thus reproduces a map of a stretch of Brazil’s equatorial margin encompassing both locations. Strikingly, in a year when femicide reached record levels, the center of the composition is occupied by Marajó Island, the site of serious allegations of trafficking and sexual exploitation.
